About

Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home and Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park have served families in Northeast Tarrant County since 1953. Both the funeral home and cemetery are located in Colleyville, at the intersection of Highway 26 and Hall-Johnson Road, making it easier for you to complete all your final arrangements.

A modern funeral home and caring staff

Chapel at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home & Memorial ParkWith 12,000 square feet of space, our funeral home accommodates most any type of event. The Memorial Chapel has a soaring cathedral ceiling and flexible seating for around 200 guests. We have multiple staterooms, multiple conference rooms, a reception area and large foyers for informal gatherings.

Our funeral home team was hired with your heart in mind. Compassion is the quality by which team members are measured, and their sensitivity to the needs of families shows in every service they plan. They have experience with many faiths and ethnicities, as well as difficult situations.

We celebrate life

Celebration of Life memorial at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home & Memorial ParkFrom small and sophisticated to large and elaborate, the funeral and memorial service options available at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home are nearly endless. Our experienced team listens to your wishes—or the wishes of your loved one—and designs a customized service as unique as the life it honors.

Whether you prefer a simple cremation with a scattering down in the Hill Country, a large traditional funeral with a coffee-and-cake reception or a no-holds-barred party with a motorcycle procession, you can trust us to assist you in celebrating a life.

Personal touches can be small—photo displays and speeches by friends are common—or more elaborate. We could hang a cross behind the casket, have a paddle board at the front door, give out cotton candy at the end of the service or have our team wear Cowboys jerseys. And if it's a grand celebration of life that you're looking for—a modern gathering with themed decor, live music, favorite food and drinks, and a send-off that reflects the personality and passions of yourself or your loved one—that's our specialty.

These are just a few ideas. Let's imagine something special together.

Horse-drawn carriage or caisson

It is not unusual to see a horse-drawn carriage leading a funeral procession. Available at the request of any family for a fee, Bluebonnet Hills hires an enclosed horse-drawn coach to transport a loved one to his or her grave. To veterans, we offer a horse-drawn caisson—a most elegant and dignified complement for a military service.

Private crematory

For families who choose the time-honored tradition of cremation, this full-service funeral home has its own crematory, which is used only by our funeral home and a few other sister locations. This gives Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home complete control of a cremation, start to finish, and means your loved one never leaves our care.

Not everyone knows that there are many cremation options. If you are interested in cremation, the Bluebonnet Hills team can explain the process and different options. From a direct cremation without a memorial service or a witness cremation to a full funeral service before or after the cremation and more, we help you understand this increasingly common choice—and handle all of the cremation arrangements.

If you would like, cremated remains can be inurnment at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.

Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park cemetery

Cremation garden at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial ParkGentle rolling lawns with quiet walkways, picturesque statues, water features and well-maintained landscaping combine to create solemn beauty at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. This cemetery has an oasis quality to it.

Though the 65-acre cemetery is right in the heart of Colleyville. Convenient to hotels, highways and the Dallas–Fort Worth International Airport, it embodies peace. When you pass through the cemetery gates, you quickly lose the sense of being in a bustling metropolitan area and are enveloped in park-like tranquility.

Sweeping green lawns and rolling hills peppered with mature trees—oaks, magnolias, crepe myrtles—unfold as far as the eye can see. The Lake of Whispering Waters has 3 fountains and a shoreline gazebo. In other areas of the cemetery, a statue of a family presides over a water feature and a man-made stream runs from a 3-pillared fountain.

Many burial options

Whatever your burial preference or religious requirement, Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park does its best to accommodate. The cemetery offers a variety of burial choices: traditional ground burial, garden estates, private family mausoleums, a lakeside community mausoleum and a range of columbaria for inurnment of cremated remains.

Designated areas of the cemetery allow for upright monuments while other areas accommodate flat granite markers or bronze-on-granite memorials. Families choosing cremation can opt for burial in the extraordinary Whispering Waters Cremation Garden, which includes family estates, personalized granite pedestals, benches and granite chess table niches fill this lakeside section of the cemetery. Serene walkways, lush landscaping and water features add to the peaceful beauty of this special place.

Mausoleum at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral HomeFor those who desire above-ground entombment, the Bluebonnet Hills community mausoleum offers single and double crypts. The mausoleum, which sits lakeside, also has niches for cremated remains. And should you so desire, we are happy to design a private family mausoleum to meet your family’s needs. Should you want a service outside but protected from the harsh Texas sun or a chance of rain, the mausoleum breezeway easily converts to an outdoor chapel.

Guided cemetery tours

Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park is a perpetual care cemetery with trust funds regulated by the state of Texas. That means that the cemetery will be maintained in the future—and that your burial estate will be tended to with loving care.

We invite you to see our cemetery property for yourself. You are welcome to visit Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park anytime. Stroll the sun-dappled grounds, sit on a bench and soak in serenity. And if you would like a guided tour and more information about our services, please call us.

Veterans services

The staff at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home is well-versed in veterans services and military honors. We offer special funeral pricing for veterans and can assist families in filing for Veterans Affairs (VA) burial benefits and securing a VA headstone. At no cost to veterans or their families, we will invite the Patriot Guard Riders to escort a funeral procession and attend a graveside service. We can also secure musicians for a service, including a bagpipe player or bugler. Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park has 2 dedicated gardens for the burial of veterans. And each May, more than 1,000 people gather at the cemetery to honor our nation’s veterans at our special Memorial Day services.
