In the funeral industry for 27 years, Steve was born in Galveston and resided in Houston before relocating to North Texas. He is committed to ensure that families have a “worry-free experience” during one of the most difficult time of their lives.

Licensed Funeral Arranger

Graduate of the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service. It is a privilege to serve people in one of the greatest times of need. Every single day is an opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life. Outside of work, I enjoy sewing, reading, jewelry design, knitting and Lions Club.

Administrative Assistant

Shawn has over three years experience leading counselors who take care of our families. Shawn says, “I knew I was doing what I was called to do when a mother, who lost her daughter, gave me a hug and thanked me for helping her get through those terrible first few days.”

Connie has two years experience in this industry. She says, “My goal is to treat every family who calls or walks through the door exactly the way I want my family to be treated if they were in that situation. I am a two-time cancer survivor, and I truly believe God spared me from death so I could give myself to this industry. For me, it’s an honor being a Family Service Counselor.“

Gil is a retired Real Estate agent who also taught Real Estate classes for 17 years and is now a Funeral Assistant for Bluebonnet Hills. In Gil’s words, “I count it an honor to serve the families who need our services in their time of grief.”

Park Superintendent

Genaro has been in this industry for 26 years. He lost his son a few years ago, and many thought it would be too much for him to work where his son is entombed. His mindset is the opposite. He says, “I find my job to be even more rewarding now because it is important to me that the park is beautiful. I treat every location in this park as if my son is there.”

Richard is the General Manager at Bluebonnet Hills with 35 years of operational/marketing experience. He is providing leadership, initiative, compassion, and devotion to provide service that will exceed your expectations.

Michael McNew
Funeral Arranger

Born and raised in the panhandle of Texas, Michael’s career began in 1984 at his family-owned funeral home. He received an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Funeral Service and later a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management. Michael moved to Fort Worth in 1994 and has remained here since. The enjoyment of this industry comes from helping families during the most difficult experiences they could face.

Administrative Assistant

Demetria has been a funeral home administrative assistant for over two years at Bluebonnet Hills. She says, “What I love most about this company is the way we go above and beyond to help each family, and I am proud to be a part of that.”

Tonya says, “I have been happily employed as a funeral home administrative assistant at Bluebonnet Hills for eight years. There are jobs that keep food, clothing, and a home for a person, and then there are jobs that are a ministry. My responsibilities at Bluebonnet Hills allows me to give back to God what He has so abundantly supplied to me. Each day is a new opportunity to touch someone’s life positively.”

Amanda says, “I graduated from mortuary school with honors in 2010 and began my apprenticeship at Bluebonnet Hills. After a year of very thorough training, I had the privilege of becoming a funeral arranger at Bluebonnet Hills. The funeral industry gives me the opportunity to provide a stable and comforting environment for those in crisis. It is difficult at times, but an experience I wouldn’t trade for the world.”

Gene has been with Bluebonnet Hills for 24 years as a Funeral Assistant. He has seen Bluebonnet Hills grow through the years and enjoys working here and serving families in their time of need. He is also very active working in the community with the Chamber of Commerce and City Hall. Gene is a dedicated Funeral Assistant, and he is proud to be a part of Bluebonnet Hills.

Kay Williams

Kay has six years of funeral industry experience. “While there are many reasons I love working for Bluebonnet Hills, one thing that really stands out from the rest is my love for the Memorial Department. Being in this department, we help the families give the final gift of memorialization to their loved one. Seeing the memorial go from words on paper to being placed at the site is very rewarding.”
